AlreadyOpen!
Terms of Use
These terms explain the straightforward rules for using the AlreadyOpen! website and browser extension.
Effective August 11, 2026
Acceptance
By installing or using AlreadyOpen!, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install the extension or stop using it.
What AlreadyOpen! does
AlreadyOpen! compares open browser tabs and helps you switch to an existing page before keeping another copy. Depending on your settings, it may show a warning, switch tabs, restore a previous page, or allow a duplicate to open.
Permission to use the product
whyThough grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use AlreadyOpen! for lawful personal or business purposes, subject to these terms and the rules of the browser or store through which it is provided.
Your choices and responsibilities
You control whether the extension asks, switches, or opens another copy. Review your selected behavior before relying on automatic actions. You are responsible for using the product lawfully and for maintaining any browser, device, or account needed to use it.
Availability and changes
AlreadyOpen! is an evolving product. Features may be changed, paused, or discontinued, and compatibility may vary by browser, website, device, or browser policy. Reasonable efforts will be made to keep the product safe and useful, but uninterrupted availability is not promised.
No warranty
To the extent permitted by applicable law, AlreadyOpen! is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free operation. Duplicate detection may occasionally miss a page or treat similar pages as duplicates.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, whyThough will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, opportunities, or productivity resulting from use of or inability to use AlreadyOpen!. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.
Third-party services
The website and extension may link to or operate alongside Chrome, Firebase, Ko-fi, and other third-party services. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies, and whyThough is not responsible for their content or operation.
Updates to these terms
These terms may be updated as the product changes. The effective date above will identify the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms, where permitted by law.
